How long does Royal Mail Tracked 24 take?Updated 2 hours ago

Royal Mail Tracked 24 is our standard delivery service for most UK orders. It aims to deliver the next working day after dispatch, and the vast majority of parcels arrive within that timeframe. This guide explains how it works, what to expect, and what to do if something goes wrong.

How Long Does Royal Mail Tracked 24 Take?

Royal Mail Tracked 24 aims to deliver the next working day after your order is dispatched. It is not a guaranteed service, but the majority of parcels arrive on time. Orders to remote areas or those affected by peak volumes or adverse weather may take an additional working day.

  • Standard mainland UK: Next working day after dispatch
  • Remote areas (Scottish Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland): Allow 1 to 2 additional working days
  • Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands postcodes: Estimated 2 to 5 working days
Deliveries 7 days a week. Royal Mail delivers Monday to Saturday as standard, and Sunday to most UK postcodes. Sunday delivery exclusions apply to some areas. See the postcode exclusions section below for details.

When Will My Order Be Dispatched?

  • Monday to Friday: Order before 10pm for same-day dispatch
  • Saturday and Sunday: Order before 3pm for same-day dispatch
  • After the cut-off time or on Bank Holidays: Your order will be dispatched the next working day

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email or SMS containing a Royal Mail tracking link. This updates at every key stage of the journey, from our warehouse to your door.

How to Track Your Order

Once dispatched, use the tracking link in your confirmation email or SMS to follow your parcel through Royal Mail's network. Your parcel is scanned multiple times during transit, so the tracking page will update as it moves through sorting and out for delivery.

Royal Mail will also provide proof of delivery once your parcel has been delivered. This includes a photograph showing where it was left, along with GPS coordinates to help you locate it if needed.

Cannot find your tracking link? Check your spam or junk folder. If you have an account with us, you can also find your dispatch details in the orders section. Alternatively, visit our guide to tracking your order.
