How to Open a Child-Resistant E-Liquid BottleUpdated a few seconds ago
Child-resistant caps can be stubborn, but in most cases the bottle is fine and just needs the right technique. Follow the steps below to get it open.
Why can't I open my e-liquid bottle?
All e-liquid bottles sold in the UK are required by law to have child-resistant caps. These caps use a push-and-turn mechanism that prevents them from being opened by simply twisting. In rare cases a manufacturing issue can make the cap harder to open than usual.
Use a push-and-turn motion
Press the cap firmly downward while turning it counterclockwise. The cap needs to be pushed down before it will turn — twisting alone will not work. Apply firm, steady downward pressure throughout.
Check the cap for instructions
Most child-resistant caps have a small arrow or diagram printed on them showing the correct push-and-turn direction. Check the top or side of the cap before trying again.
Grip the sides of the cap firmly
Hold the cap around its widest point rather than the top. Gripping from the top reduces the turning force you can apply. A rubber grip pad or a dry cloth can help significantly if the cap is slippery.
Warm the cap
If the cap still feels stuck, run just the cap area under warm water for a few seconds. This causes the plastic to expand very slightly and can be enough to free a stiff cap. Avoid warming the bottle itself, as heat can affect the e-liquid inside.
Still stuck?
If the bottle will not open after following all the steps above, it is likely a manufacturing fault. Contact our support team and we will arrange a replacement for you.

How do I open a child-resistant e-liquid bottle?
Press the cap firmly downward and turn counterclockwise at the same time. Grip the sides of the cap rather than the top, and check the cap itself for a printed arrow showing the correct direction. If the cap is stiff, run it briefly under warm water to expand the plastic slightly.
